Farewell....

The loss of a loved one, 
is always hard to bear
the pain is still so raw
after hours spend in care

every time I remember
the tears start to flow
all of the emotions
have nowhere to go

there`s a whole in my heart
that`s draining me dry
your life force has gone
and all I ask is … why?

you have your wings now
and out of all the pain
I`ll hold onto memories
until we meet once again
