It`s 8 years today since I lost my mother and yet the pain is still so raw!  

What I would give.....

what I would give,
just to see your smiling face
or hear you gentle voice
have my day brighten up
by knowing you`re just there

what I would give,
to see my mum and best friend
so full of wisdom, love and life
be able to sit and share of cuppa 
and hear your jovial laughter

what I would give,
for just one hug with you
and sit and chat in the garden
I`m proud to be your daughter
to me you were the best mum ever
