Under the Apple Tree

In the long grass
sleeps my little cat
within the shade
of an apple tree
breathing gently
purring softly
she snoozes on
without a care
Oh if only
I could be
snoozing there
under the apple tree
sleeping away
the hours of the day
no chores to do
all work is done
so sleep easy
my little cat
under the apple tree
I`ll not disturb you!

Lazy summer days are here once more....
