The Blast of Steam!!

The sheer thunder
of the roaring beast
pounding of pistons
as if in a rage
huge clouds of steam
billowing black
racing full throttle
along the tracks

screams of the whistle
as it approaches fast
along it`s steel path
through the cold winter morn
lantern shining bright
as it comes into view
puffing and chugging
this relic from the past

snow covers the ground
and the tree are bare
as the black beast steams
to its destination
the sound of its whistle
from the distance, blasts
tells the countryside
this charge of the steam train.!


Long live the Steam Trains....!!!!
