After the Festivities

After the Festivities

Now the festivities are over and everyone is slowly getting back to a form of normality, I find this a time of quietness. Not on holiday but not exactly working too.  The decorations have been put away and we find ourselves thinking about eating bland food to get over all the rich festive extras we`ve been diving into over the last week. House feels still and peaceful once more.

It`s certainly been a quieter Christmas due to the pandemic.  Gatherings have been smaller and a lot for care has been taken.  Sadly I wasn`t able to have all my children over, what with travel restrictions and PCR testing.  Thank goodness for video calling, I was able to talk to everyone over the festivities.

This is also the period we end of one year and begin of a new one.  Where we set new goals and plan new adventures.  A time for new opportunities, chances and even inspiration to try something you`ve never done before.  With the new year,  don`t hide, don't bury your head or carry on the way you`ve always done.  This is a chance to stand up, be brave and reach for you dreams!!

So at the start of this new year and after all the Christmas Festivities have finished, there is so much to look forward too.   Though it maybe quiet and dull, I find that it is a time of inspiration, opportunity and optimism.  I am looking forward to the start of the year and can`t wait to see what is on offer and what I can accomplish by the end of 2022!

Wishing you all a wonderful 2022, be positive, inquisitive, creative, happy and above all … believe in yourself!!
