Last December I was lucky enough to meet David Biggs, who is a wonderful artist. He very kindly let me use some of his artwork as inspiration for my poetry. I found these two interesting, so I was able to pick up my pen ✎ once more and write a poem.

Lissie
Peace or War
Hidden in a clearing far away
protected from evil armies
a rock pierced by a sword
guarded by a white dove
soars high over head
no king may come
peace to reign
no war
here
