Poet`s Pen

Travel with me awhile
along my life`s path
keep me company
as I travel by
two sets of footprints
show where we have trod.

For companionship

helps the time to fly.

This journey`s pathway

is not always smooth

nor flat and even

but rough and rocky.

Catch me if I fall

or stumble, I pray

at these points in time

just one set of prints

for you didn`t leave me

but carried my weight

helped me when I needed

until I was strong

and able to walk on

I thank you, my friend!
