NaPoWriMo 2022

Day 2

Prompt -  challenged to write a poem based on a word featured in a tweet from Haggard Hawks, an account devoted to obscure and interesting English words.  

Eg - aprosexin - which means " an inability to concentrate" 

      - greenout -   which means " the relief of a person who has worked or lived in a snowy area for a long time feels on seeing something fresh and green for the first time.

" Glisk"  - brief glimpse of warm sunshine.

A Glisk of Movement

while walking through a quiet woodland

strolling amongst the ancient trees

soft crunch of leaves under foot

followed by a glisk of wing

an owl was disturbed

feathers near bark

then silence

just trees

peace
