Once you were beside me
empowering my whole life
encouraging me to cope
through all this gloom and strife
Now I stand here alone
surveying all we've built
wondering how to survive
and feeling so much guilt
Missing tender moments
as our love was so strong
for my heart is broken, as
time apart will be to long
I look to the heavens
hoping with all my soul
that we will be together soon
so then I can feel whole...!
