Unfair Humanity!

Laughter, joy and happiness
should be granted to every one
but sadly this is not always true
for there are those that know no fun

We should therefore be so grateful
that we're able to wear a bright smile
enjoy the pleasures of this life
and linger with friends awhile

For many, only pain and sorrow
are their only companions
no love is ever shown to them
for they have no champions

We humans can be a cruel race
some are greedy and so unkind
stocking up more than is needed
oblivious to hardship, they're blind

What is needed now is love
all this selfishness to cease
some kindness and understanding
so humanity can live in peace
