Day 8  National Poetry Writing Month

#NaPoWriMo

Today`s prompt asks us to study the work of one or more of these twitter bots and use a line or two, a phase or two and even a word that stands out for us as the seed for our own poem.  I took a line from Sylvia Plath.

Smell of dawn

smelling the dawn drafts
wafting across damp grass
after the start o each morning
this distictive scent will pass

mist floats over the landscape
errily creating shapes and shadows
Mother nature in her wisdom
love forming mysterious meadows

tears on roses and dew drops glisten
dawn chorus heard from the trees
signalling its time to rise and shine
and smell the dawn on the breeze.
