Day 3  National Poetry Writing Month

NaPoWriMo

Today we`re challenged to make a `Personal Universal Deck`and then to write a poem using it.  This i found very time consuming and so I asked my daughter to chose 8 random words.

She chose , crazy, lion, flowers, freezing, wonderful, family, murder and hero.

Family Trip

what a crazy day this has turned out to be

the morning started off with great hopes

though it was freezing, a car trip was planned

we`re off to see lions, bats and antelopes

this was to be a fabulous family trip

the car was warm and cosy inside

while it was murder to even open the windows

no animals, even the flowers decided to hide

thankfully dad was our great hero

he could see we weren`t enjoying the day

he turned the car round and took is to see a film

popcorn, coke and a comfortable place to stay
