Classical Dictionary and Historical Dictionary of Science Fiction

Chose at least one word for each of these dictionaries and write a poem.

Classical Dictionary -  Matronia

Historical Dictionary - Martian

Patronage of the Planets

throughout all history

mankind has looked out to space

for guidance from the Gods

with planets orbiting in grace

Romans worshipped their deities

to bring fortune to everyone

Matronia honouring  the God, Mars

flowers offered by only matrons

venerating so many gods

with rituals, festivals and parades

all the pomp and ceremonies

music, flowers and dancing maids

now through to the present day

Gods replaced by orbiting planets

with advancing science, we know more

as now we can race up on rockets

unlike our ancestors, we can reach Mars

and search for a Martian or two

will we dishonour the God of War

or will science make a breakthrough

a new era awaits, as we travel

exploring the life of each planet

the universe is there to see

full of mystery and enchantment!
