Prompt - Challenged to new poem. Stop fighting the moon. Lean in. Accept the moon. the moon just wants what`s best for you and your poems. So yes - write a poem that is about, or that involves, the moon!
as darkness engulfs the land
a bright moon travels on her way
following an ancient arc
until the dawn of a new day
eerie light silhouettes trees
yet plunges others into blackness
the world takes on a different hue
creating something close to madness
watching this moon passing over
rejuvenating nature as she goes
finding her touch to be empowering
yet most will stay at home and doze
enjoy the sight of celestial orb
as she glides on through the night
wonder at her beauty passing by
for the moon is such a magical sight
