Day 19 national Poetry Writing Month 2021

Prompt -  Write a humorous rant. In this poem you may excoriate to your hearts content all the things that get on your nerves. Perhaps it`s people who tailgate you when driving, or don`t put the lids back on pens after using them, or even when foxes rummage through your trash bins.  Happy Writing!

Maddening Incidents

laundry days are smelly days

when dirty socks left inside out

ignored requests for all their dirties

I`m not there to collect or shout

bulging rubbish bins fit to burst

just one piece more to be pushed in

lights left on, really makes me mad

however determined, I`ll never win

being caught short with no loo roll

empty cardboard behind the radiator

sadly, money doesn`t grow on trees

but I`ll fight on like a gladiator!
